Top-up from Handelsbanken
Before you can start paying with your Cardboard cards, you must transfer money into your Cardboard card account. Transferring funds from Handelsbanken to Cardboard is quick and easy once you know how to do it correctly. The key takeaways are to make sure that you:
- Only transfer from accounts already registered in Cardboard. This is to ensure that our bank partner knows that the source of the transferred funds is the same company that owns the destination account, and so that the funds can be quickly routed to the correct destination account.
- Always transfer in the same currency as the destination account. For Norwegians using Handelsbanken, this usually means that you should transfer in NOK.
Transfer from Handelsbanken's online bank
- Sign into your Handelsbanken online bank, Nettbedrift.
- On the home screen, select Betalinger (Payments).
- Select Betale utland (Foreign payment).
- Go to the Top up page in Cardboard to find the recipient details.
- Fill out the payment form:
- In the Mottaker (Beneficiary) field, enter the IBAN shown on the Cardboard Top up page.
- In Valuta (Currency), select the currency of your Cardboard account, e.g. NOK.
- In Beløp (Amount), enter the amount you want to transfer.
- You can leave the Melding (Message) field empty.
- Tap Neste steg (Next step) to continue.
- On the next page, Informasjon om mottakers bank (Detail’s of beneficiary’s bank), check that we’re transferring to “Adyen N.V.”, and confirm by clicking Neste steg (Next step).
- On the next page, Informasjon om mottaker (Information about beneficiary):
- Enter the name and address of our bank Adyen N.V. as found on Cardboard’s Top up page.
- Tick Lagre denne mottakeren for fremtidige betalinger (Save this recipient for future payments).
- Tap Neste steg (Next step) to continue.
- The first time you top-up, you might at this point be asked to fill out a form titled Myndighetsrapportering (Regulatory reporting):
- In Betalingsart (Nature of payment), select “Annet kjøp/salg av tjenester” (”Other purchase/sale of services”).
- In Forklaring til norske myndigheter (Explanation to Norwegian authorities), write a short description like ”Betaling av software-abonnementer”.
- On the final page, Oppsummering (Summary), review the details and tap Legg til godkjenning (Register). See the screenshot below for an example of how this should look when everything is filled out correctly.
- The payment is now registered. As with any other payment, you must approve the payment before it is actually performed.
After the payment has been completed, a payment receipt can be found in the online bank by selecting Post og info (Post and info), then Dokumenter/brev fra banken (Documents/letter from bank) in the menu.
