Collect receipts from LinkedIn Ads

Many users encounter challenges in obtaining receipts from LinkedIn since it does not provide an option to send receipts automatically via email. This article explains a workaround using Cardboard's "bulk receipt importer" feature.

LinkedIn Ads

  1. Add your Cardboard card to LinkedIn for payments
    1. Let LinkedIn charge your card without automatic receipt collection.
  2. Export receipts at the end of the accounting period
    1. At the end of each accounting period (month/quarter/year), go to LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
    2. Navigate to Account settings > Billing.
    3. Select the Payment activity tab.
    4. Select the appropriate time range for your accounting period.
    5. Click on Download all to generate a zip file with all the receipt.
    6. Click Download to download the generated zip file.
  3. Upload Receipts to Cardboard
    1. In Cardboard, go to Inbox → Receipts.
    2. Upload all the receipts exported from LinkedIn Campaign Manager. You cannot upload the zip file itself, but you can upload multiple receipts at the same time.

Benefits

  • This process simplifies receipt management by requiring you to export receipts only once per accounting period.
  • Cardboard's matching algorithm will handle the rest, pairing receipts with historical payments lacking corresponding receipts.
  • You can check for missing receipts under Accounting → Exports. Clicking on X missing receipts will show all payments that lack a receipt.
